SHOW DESCRIPTION:
Charles Feltman On this episode of Design Your Life, Coaching for New Choices, Patricia Hirsch will interview Charles Feltman, PCC. Charles says, “Leaders who foster a culture of trust in their organizations thrive. Trust is a precondition for engagement, commitment, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and results. It is a necessary element for both success and well-being at work. But the benefits of trust are limited when it is simply transactional – something people use to get things done. Only when it is part of the fabric of a team’s or company’s culture does trust enable people to do their best work.” In this interview, Charles Feltman will discuss how leaders can move from building trust to creating a team or company culture in which trust and trustworthiness are woven into the fabric, and the amazing things companies with this kind of culture have achieved.

BIO:
Charles Feltman is a leadership coach, consultant, facilitator, and speaker. He is founder and principal of Insight Coaching and author of The Thin Book of Trust. He has over 25 years of experience coaching, consulting and facilitating for success in leadership and organization development. As a coach he has had the privilege of working with many leaders who have helped create cultures of trust around them. Prior to starting his own business Charles served in leadership positions in the high tech industry. He has also been a community mediator and facilitator for the past 35 years, helping hundreds of people successfully resolve issues, build or restore trust, and move forward in their work, community and personal lives.

SHOW DESCRIPTION:
Barb Eisele Barb Eisele will share about the brain’s autopilot. “It’s 2012, are you saying, “I really want this to be the year to_____” but then you respond with, “I’ve been here before, why bother?” Everyone’s capacity for change is different. Whether it’s personal or professional we all have learned strategies and tricks to be successful. However, for many of us there comes a time when we really want something that continues to be out of our reach. We try every ‘trick in the book’ and still can’t get there. First thing to know is that this is not our fault! It’s the autopilot of our brain and nervous system. Our brain is set up for survival, moving us away from threats to keep us safe and our lives stable. The brain perceives big changes as a threat and wants to stop you. It doesn’t know the difference between real and perceived threats, it just senses change. The good news is there are ways to move beyond the brain’s autopilot. Join us as we discuss steps in making successful changes.

Since 1998, Barb has been a Transformational Coach. Her curiosity about people led her to study neuroscience, the study of the brain. Barb has created a free e-workbook; it’s available at www.lifetransformationsnow.com. She has felt stuck “in a box,” the frustration of conflict in relationships, being stuck in a job, working harder and longer trying to succeed. She knows what happens when she believes her limiting thoughts, and the powerful ones she has. Barb’s unique system moves people forward to their desires. For her, it was a 111 mile cycling event. She used every tool she uses with clients, and she finished the ride!
