Listen as Patricia Hirsch, MCC, interviews Janet Harvey, MCC, 2012 President of the International Coach Federation (ICF) as she talks about results from the recently completed 2012 ICF Global Coaching Study. Janet will explain how coaches were asked to identify the biggest challenges for coaching in the next 12 months; and an overwhelming number answered “untrained individuals calling themselves coaches” and “marketplace confusion about the benefits of coaching.” Survey respondents were also tasked with outlining the biggest opportunities for coaching in the next year. Coaches from around the globe agreed that opportunities for growth of the profession include: “Increased awareness of the benefits of coaching” and “Credible data on the return on investment (ROI) and return on expectations (ROE) from coaching.” www.coachfederation.org
